In Humanities, we don’t start with ‘I think…’ We make a strong claim.

A strong claim is a clear statement that answers the topic and can be proven with evidence.

 Which of these statements are good  points to start a paragraph with?

1. I believe pollution is bad.

2. Pollution harms marine life and needs to be prevented.

3. Social media is everywhere.

4. Social media affects teenagers' mental health and can be damaging.
